The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup, you can start automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay if want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong like low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
